The first real-world test of user-pays in Australia
At Transurban, we believed it was time to bring the community into the road funding conversation and the best way to do that would be to turn theory into practice and put user-pays to the test.
In May 2015, we commenced Australia’s first practical study to examine how drivers would respond to a transparent road usage system as an alternative to the current system of opaque fees and charges.
